On Thursday, July 7, a Magnum 601 rescue system was used near Prievidza in Slovakia. A steering failure occurred during a certification flight with a WT9 Dynamic 915is at a speed of almost 400 km/h. The airplane became uncontrollable. So the pilot decided to activate rescue system. The system worked correctly and brought the heavily damaged plane to the ground. The aircraft ended up upside down. The pilot escaped with only minor injuries.
